Dear readers, tonight with me is a man born in space, and one of the first colonisers of an alien world.

He’s here to tell us about ancient conspiracies, about stone-age and space age, about archaeology and cryptozoology.

Tell us a little about where you grew up. What was it like there?

My family was from Earth. My great grandpa Rob ran a conspiracy theory blog, it’s still archived at http://www.larc-scifi.com/LettersAboutRealConspiracies.html. The family lived in New England right up until the League of Atlantis Reborn Colonies launched its first colonial starship, the LARC1. I was born in space on the way to the planet Nibiru. I still live in the old colony now that it’s grounded on the planet.

Did you have any favourite toys as a child? Any cherished memories?

I had a set of little plastic Colonial Security Force figures. My mom even made me a CSF costume for Halloween. I wore it until it fell apart! It’s no wonder I grew up to join the force.

What do you do now?

Now that we’ve discovered the shugarra and the CSF adopted the ancient transforming battle cloaks, I spend my days flying, diving, and tunneling Nibiru’s unknown regions searching for renegade Nefilim.

What can you tell us about your latest adventure?

Well, my life changed when the colony landed on Nibiru. In fact, we discovered the beings responsible for organizing human civilization, I met my wife, and had a bit of a personal transformation. Another being penned the experience into the colony’s own history book called Distant Origins.

One of the strangest Nefilim encounters happened right here in the LARC1 colony! A Nefilim named Subahu and two renegade Anki caused quite a scene. Not to mention leaving a little talking monkey behind. You can read up on that one for free in Rakshasa. Just sign up for Anki Legacies News at http://eepurl.com/cQc861.

What did you first think when the Monkeyboy arrived?

At first, we all thought little Hanuman was part of a plan to overthrow the elected officials of the LARC1 colony. The renegade Anki he appeared with seemed to think they should rule all the species of sentient life simply because of their powers. My daughter Sita and one the Craygarta are two of his closest friends, so I’m sure the Monkeyboy is on our side. In fact, he’s in the final stages of training for Shugarra Corps. You can read his adventures every month in the Anki Legacies News.

What was the scariest thing in your adventures?

This is going to sound silly. There is a clone of me in some other dimension fighting those renegade Anki. They teleported to Earth’s Stone Age to eliminate mankind before humans became the only hominins on the planet. I’m scared for that other me out there. How’s he getting along without my family? Is one man and one shugarra enough to save the world?

What is the worst thing about Shugarra Corps?

Losing friends. Not only have some paid in blood to protect the colony, one abandoned us when we needed him most.

What is the best thing about it?

The shuggara. It’s as light as a backpack, with voice commands, I can fly, bulk up with a ton of synthetic muscle, breath underwater, or tunnel like a rabbit. It’s the best uniform you can wear!

Tell us a little about your friends.

Well, my buddy Gil used to be a king in ancient Sumeria. Craygarta is what you get if you mix a praying mantis with a monk and give them telepathy and ancestral memories.

I get the feeling that the other me has befriended cavepeople. Seventy thousand years ago, Earth had humans and all sorts of other humanoids. There is fossil evidence of all their cultures burying their dead and using tools. It must be like Tolkien’s Middle Earth for clone Bobby!

Any romantic involvement?

I’m proud to say that I’m the first human to marry an alien! Wooril’s awesome. We have way more in common that I do with Earth girls. Our kids mostly look like their mom.

Whom (or what) do you really hate?

The Anki Empire. They treat other people like animals. Their magic abilities are unrivaled but that does not give them the right to kidnap, kill, and torture others. It’s not all Anki either. Pringar and Elsaap were raised in the LARC1 colony and they share human values. These Anki raised by the Rakshasa are dangerous because they were brought up believing that other people are theirs to control, just like the ancient Anki who visited Earth at the dawn of civilization.

What’s your favourite drink, colour, and relaxing pastime?

Does Muay Thai and Juijitsu practice count as a relaxing past time? I know some of the skills are unnecessary thanks to the shugarra, but fighting is like a chess game. Plus the exercise keeps the beer belly at bay.

What does the future hold for you?

I have a feeling that we haven’t seen the last of the Ancient Anki. They left Nibiru thousands of years ago and Anki only grow stronger with age. If they return and find us occupying the seat of their empire, it could be trouble.

Can you share a secret with us, which you’ve never told anyone else?

My family has been involved with the Anki since well before the LARC1 spacecraft. My great Grandpa Rob played a part in the formation of the League of Atlantis Reborn Colonies. He was a traveling salesman on the East Coast of the United States as well as a conspiracy theorist. He stumbled onto something big and humanity left behind reality television, celebrity gossip magazines, and materialism to reach for the stars.

I don’t tell anyone about it because people get weird when they learn you’ve got famous historical figures for relatives.

S Shane Thomas explores the highways of the Northeastern United States peddling industrial filters to earn a living. After dabbling in English, Journalism, and Communications he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Post University with excess credits scattered by the wayside. With a proper education out of the way, his mind strayed back to Alternative History theories, especially theories that involve alien contact at the dawn of civilization. When he isn’t hanging out with his wife and boys he’s crafting Anki Legacies Adventures.
