Dear reader, we take time tonight outside of our regular schedule, to participate in the #YourNextFavouriteAuthor Blog Tour!
We weren’t quite sure who would show up tonight, but we are very excited to meet them!
So without further ago, let’s meet our guest for the tour!
Let’s start at the beginning. What’s your name?
Keri
Give me your full name…
Keridwen of Orleigh
Where/when were you born?
Orleigh. That’s up north, in Dungarrow. Right up on the border with Camrhys, too, although with the mountains, well, they don’t bother us much.
Tell Us More About Yourself… Who are your main enemies, people you would like to see stopped from whatever they are doing?
Angharad. I don’t know why she has it in for me. Well, all right, I killed her father, it’s true. But, I mean, it was him or me. It was a fair fight. And he needed killing. Anyone might have done it.
Hypothetically… One of your friends just insulted you. What is your response?
Was it Sorcha? Because I’m not going to have a response to anything she says. I value my life. If she wants to insult me, she can.
Tell me about where you grew up…
Orleigh…oh, Godess’ Tits, it’s just about the best place to grow up. Horses to ride, rivers to swim in, sea raiders to fight. And then, in summer, some years, we go to the big fair out at Davgenny. My mam always made sure I had a little coin to spend, just for myself.
Now We Get Personal. What’re your parents like?
Oh, well. My mam, she’s pretty great. A bit of a temper, but she keeps things running. But she’s also a great one for manners and so on. I never thought it was worth it, all that stuff, but iot turned out to be very handy, in the end.
My Da? He’s the most honourable man in the kingdom, that’s what they say. And he’ll always do right by you. Not, maybe, without a lecture and a clout on your ear, mind you, but he always comes through.
Do you have any siblings?
Too many. I’m the youngest of eight and you’d think with so many, you could slip a few misdemeanors through undetected, but no. Someone’s always there to see you muck up.
What’s your occupation? Do you like it?
I’m a soldier. It’s what I’m good at.
Tell us your biggest secret.
I’m in love with – no. I can’t tell you that.
Your worst fear? You don’t have to answer this one if you don’t want to.
Look, I almost got the noose once. I don’t think I worry too much about anything anymore.
Morgan Smith has been a goatherd, a landscaper, a weaver, a bookstore owner, a travel writer, and an archaeologist, and she will drop everything to travel anywhere, on the flimsiest of pretexts. Writing is something she has been doing all her life, though, one way or another, and now she thinks she might actually have something to say.
